Prayer Timings
Did you know… The actual meaning of the word in Salah or Salat in Arabic means connection, contact, or communication.
By praying Salah you are seeking nearness to Allah and are nurturing that relationship through worship. Allah has made prayer mandatory for all Muslims for many reasons:
Muslims pray together, known as “Jama’ah” or congregational prayer, because it fosters a strong sense of community and unity within the Muslim faith, providing greater spiritual benefit compared to praying alone, and is considered a way to strengthen their connection with each other and with God by performing the prayer collectively; it is highly encouraged in Islam to pray in congregation at the mosque whenever possible.
MSI serves the spiritual, religious, & communal needs of area Muslims by nurturing their faith, upholding their values, & fostering the well-being of the surrounding community through worship, charity, education, outreach, & civic engagement.
Practice, build, provide, and promote…
Our vision is to be one of the leading Islamic Centers in South Jersey in providing Islamic guidance and services.
